Resources

I research almost every decision I make. It sounds time consuming, and it can be, but it always seems to save more time, energy and money in the end.

The following are a variety of resources and tools that have made my life easier and happier in a noteworthy way. Some are free, some are paid. In either case, the value returned has vastly outweighed my initial investment.

I aim to continually and consistently add-to and update this list.

Books

My list of favorite books would quickly become a long one. But there are 3 life-changers that have become my holy trinity for personal fulfillment:

Productivity Ninjitsu

Writing Software: Scrivener
2nd Brain: Devonthink Pro (for uber-organised note taking about anything). I don’t know how I managed prior.
Computer Automation: Keyboard Maestro (automate virtually anything on a mac).
Dictation Software: Dragon Dictate.
Computer Screen Layout Software: BetterSnapTool
General Organisation, planning and TO-DO lists: Trello

Iphone Apps:

Voice Record Pro: The best voice recorder for iphone that I’ve found. Includes cloud uploading to a number of different services. An essential inclusion for Afternoon Adventurers.

Trello: Create order from chaos…or potentially just more chaos. Now that I’ve discovered it, I can’t seem to function without it.

Shazam: I owe so much to this app.

Noisli: Like the sound of rain? So do I. A variety of sensational background sound effects. I will leave it going for hours at a time.

Overcast: The best podcast app I’ve found.
